Unscripted
Photographic projects look linear once they’re finished, and that’s probably why I’ve always felt silly and reluctant to talk about them after the fact. While they’re happening, they’re only possibilities — and most of them fail.
Over the years, these texts became my way of collecting the stories behind the images: research that led nowhere, ideas that changed direction, and improbable moments that — by accident, luck, or sheer probability of simply being there — sometimes worked out. Or not.
Unscripted is about that interval between intention and randomness — the space where photography happens, and where the world has more say than we do.
